Alert message sent 17/02/2021 14:51:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

The Kidlington and District Community Forum is meeting virtually on Wednesday 3rd March at 1800 hrs over the MS TEAMS platform
The forum is a cross section of community stakeholders. There are representatives from Cherwell DC, Parish Councillors, County Councillors, Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators, Business owners, Banks, Schools, Fire Service and on this occasion Oxfordshire Trading Standards. We welcome anyone who has an interest in Kidlington and the surrounding villages.
The specific aim is to work collectively to reduce demand on all services, identify emerging trends and problem solve local issues.
Of our priorities we work with a local bank to deliver fraud prevention advice, communities are setting up their own community speed watch programs and in collaboration with the local authority we have identified areas of Anti-Social Behaviour and utilising legislation to tackle these issues.
It is not necessarily a Q&A session for the police, although I am happy to field questions related to our priorities we do have regular have your say events for those (*currently suspended due to covid) – We will announcing shortly dates for our Have your Say events also over the MS TEAMS platform.
As we are conducting this meeting remotely there are some changes from the normal meetings, normally we split off to discuss the local priorities, which are Speeding, ASB and Fraud Prevention.
There will be a short input as to what has been implemented and done in relation to our priorities but due to the Covid pandemic how we, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team have had to adapt this has impeded certain elements of how we have responded to our local priorities.
There will also be an update from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue and a presentation from Oxfordshire Trading Standards.
If you would like to attend please email for a copy of the link. You do not need to have an account with MS TEAMS or the mobile phone application to access the link.
