We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Oxford.

At around 10.45pm yesterday (26/6) the victim, a man in his 20s, was stationary in his car on Church Way in Iffley when a man holding a knife approached him and opened his car door. A struggle took place in which injuries were caused to the victim’s finger and leg. During the incident the car, an orange Nissan Micra, went on to collide with multiple other vehicles.

Following the collision a second man approached and threw a liquid into the victim’s face, before he was able to get out of his car and call for help. Both men involved were then seen to run from the scene of the accident into the church yard at the end of Church Way. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. 

We would like to hear from anybody who saw what happened or has CCTV, Ring Doorbell or dash cam footage from the Church Way area at the time of the incident.
