HMRC scam

Alert message sent 17/04/2020 14:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

I have received this from one of the Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators. Please note that another resident in Blackbird Leys has received same phone call. Please contact Action Fraud on nfibphishing@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk or 03001232040
Hi Maggie,
Just to let you know this morning at 11am I had a call from someone purporting to be from HMRC who stated that I had been reported to them for leaving my house 3 times a day for the last 5 days and as this is against government guidelines I have incurred a fine of £200 which is payable to them immediately or they would instruct the police to attend my home and arrest me for breaking the law, I asked how I could pay and they said they needed my credit/debit card details, I told them they would have to hand on as I was disabled and needed to go to another room to get my card, I kept them on the line for 5 minutes before  going back on the phone and told them I couldn't find my card, they then said no worries we will send a person round to collect cash within the hour  I told them that's fine I will call the police and they will be here to hand over the cash, at this point the caller started to get agitated and verbally abusive so I wished him a nice day ( not quite in those words ) and hung up.
I tried call retrieval but the number was blocked.
