Appeal for witnesses following an assault in Botley

At around 3.30pm on Thursday (9/5), the drivers of two vehicles, a white Mitsubishi Outlander and a blue Toyota CHR, were involved in an altercation whilst driving through the 50mph zone on the A34 near Botley.

Both vehicles turned off at the A34 Northbound slip road, Botley Interchange before colliding with one another. The driver of the white Mitsubishi Outlander then got out of his car and assaulted the other driver by kicking him in the stomach and head butting him.

The victim, a 53-year-old man, sustained a cut to his lip and bruising to his skin but did not require hospital treatment.

Witnesses are urged to call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43190139158 or make a report online.
