Appeal for witnesses following burglary in Botley

At around 11.30pm on Saturday (2/2) an offender gained entry to a shop on Pinnocks Way by smashing the front door.

Cigarettes, tobacco and alcohol was stolen. 

The offender is a man, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins and of medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood obscuring his face. 

Investigating officer, PC Tom Coyne, based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information that may assist with this investigation.

“If you have any information that could help, please get in touch using our online form or by calling the non-emergency number, 101. You will need to quote reference number 43190034618. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“Please be aware of any suspicious sales of cheap cigarettes, tobacco or alcohol.”
