Appeal for witnesses following an assault in Eynsham

At around 8.15pm on Monday (22/2) the victims, two women in their early twenties, were running down Mill Street, Eynsham on the opposite side of the road to the Post Office when a light coloured van drove past and threw an egg at them.

The egg hit one of the victim’s in the face causing injury and swelling to her face and a nosebleed. She did not require hospital treatment.  

The van is described as a light coloured van, possibly caddy style.

We are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Mill Street and believe that they witnessed this incident or saw the van described to please contact the police.

In addition, we ask that anybody who was driving in the area around the time of the incident to please check dash-cam footage and call us if it has picked up anything that could assist this investigation.
