Appeal for witnesses following serious injury collision in Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision which occurred in Reading.

The incident happened yesterday (18/8) at about 10.30pm in Caversham Road.

Officers received a report that a 20-year-old woman had been hit by a silver Toyota Yaris.

She sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, where she remains at this time.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Stefan McLaughlin, based at Windsor police station, said: “This incident has resulted in a woman sustaining serious injuries and I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed it.

“We are carrying out an investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident, so if you have any details which you think could be relevant, please get in touch.

“Anyone with any information should call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101, quoting reference number 43200258251.”
