Alert message sent 19/08/2020 10:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

We have had an increase in reports of thefts from vehicles in the Drayton and Sutton Courtenay areas over the last few weeks. Whilst some of the thefts continue to be investigated, we would like to remind vehicle owners to keep their vehicle and its contents as secure as possible by following the below advice:
  • Ensure the doors are locked and windows and sun roofs are closed.
  • Don't leave anything on display, including small change or clothing.
  • Remove tools from work vehicles if possible.
  • Remove all valuables including Sat Navs.
  • Keep car keys out of sight, even inside your property.
  • Park your vehicle in a garage if you have one that can be used.
  • Don't store your vehicle's documents in the car.
If you have any information in relation to the recent thefts, please call 101 or report it to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111. Alternatively you can report it online via the Thames Valley Police website.

If you see anything suspicious, please call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
