CCTV released following theft in Wantage

At around 7.30am on Saturday 15 February a wallet was left on the counter at Greggs in Market Place, Wantage. Another man entered the store and picked up the wallet on paying for his items.

The wallet and a quantity of cash was stolen.

The wallet was later found discarded on the floor outside of Greggs with the cash missing.

Investigating officer PC Jemima Robinson, based at Abingdon police station, said: “I am releasing these images in the hope that someone can identify the man shown as I believe he has vital information about this offence.

“You can contact us using our online form or by calling 101, quoting reference number 432000053364.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
