Appeal for witness following theft in Oxford

Alert message sent 27/01/2020 13:00:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Between 11 and 11.30pm on Friday (24/1) the victim, an 18-year-old woman, was outside the Cirkus nightclub in George Street with a group of friends when an unknown man approached her.

After a brief conversation the man ran off with the victim’s vape. A member of the public chased the offender onto St Michael’s Street and confronted them. We are particularly interested in speaking with this individual as we believe they may have vital information that could assist our investigation.

Investigating officer PC7211 Fritha Harvey would like to speak to anyone who saw something or believes they have any information to contact Thames Valley Police on the 24-hour non-emergency number, 101, quoting reference 43200028042 or use our online form www.thamesvalley.police.uk/tell-us
