Appeal for witnesses following an incident of public disorder in Carterton

At around 10.30pm on Saturday (4/1) a large group of youths committed a number of offences including criminal damage to vehicles, violent disorder and anti-social behaviour in Sorrel Way, Lilac Way and Magnolia Way in the Shilton Park Estate.

Investigating officer Sergeant Philippa Payne based at Witney police station said: “We are following a number of investigative lines of enquiry and are working with parents, schools and other agencies. Residents should expect to see an increased police presence in Carterton in the coming days.

“Thank you to all the witnesses that have already come forward. We are also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV, mobile phone footage or wi-fi doorbell system footage from the time of the incident to come forward.
