Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Reading

At around 4pm on Thursday 2 January 2020 the victim, a 54-year-old man, was stood at a bus stop in Waylen Street when he was approached by two unknown men and asked to hand over money.

The offenders also attempted to steal the victim’s phone but failed to do so. They then left the scene in the direction of the town centre. Nothing was stolen.

The first offender is described as a black man, around 5ft 8ins tall and medium build. He was wearing a dark blue coat.

The second offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 10ins tall and slim. He was wearing a thigh length khaki green puffer jacket.
