Precautions Against Burglary

Alert message sent 21/12/2019 10:16:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a message from Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association.

As is so often the case at this time of year, burglaries have increased.  In spite of this, they are at a much lower rate than we saw a few years ago.

However, we do recommend that you take some special precautions, such as:

  -  If you have an intruder alarm, do use it and keep it regularly serviced.

  -  If you are going to be out or away, leave a couple of lights on from dusk with time switches.

  -  You can also leave a radio on a talk station using a time switch.

  -  If you are going to be away, ask a neighbour to park a car on your drive.

  -  Ask a neighbour to look after your wheelie bins.

  -  Ask a friend or neighbour to keep an eye on your house.

  -  Return the favours to your friends and neighbours.

For further advice, visit www.thamesvalley.police.uk and search ‘burglary’.

With best wishes for Christmas & New Year from us in Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association.

Keep safe!
