Tool security marking event - John Nicholls Bicester

Alert message sent 03/09/2019 15:06:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

The Bicester Town Neighbourhood Policing team are holding a FREE tool security marking event at John Nicholls, Unit C3-C4 Telford Road, Bicester tomorrow between 10.00am & 12.30pm (Wednesday 4th September).

We'll be using the CREMARK system to make your hand and power tools more identifiable if recovered by police as suspected stolen property. CREMARK kits can be bought online and consist of a permanent marker (to add your property number and postcode) and a durable lacquer which is sprayed over the top to seal it. Please allow 24 hours for the lacquer to set before using. We will also be giving advice about reducing your risk of theft from vans and outbuildings and giving away kits of non-returning screws to secure your vehicle number plates.

You do not need to make an appointment in advance and can just turn up on the day. However, please note that in the event proving so popular that we run out of security marking supplies or if you're unable to make the event, we can still mark your tools at home by appointment. Please send your contact details (address and telephone number) to bicestertownnhpt@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk) and we can arrange a convenient date and time with you.
