Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

This message is dated Friday 23rd August 2019 for Windsor.

I have been receiving reports from people that they have not been receiving messages.  As this affected quite a large number of people, I referred the problem to VisaV who wrote the software and support the system.

This was their reply:

Hi Jeff,

I can confirm that no emails have been successfully sent to your recipient, since the 9th. August.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but our systems were moved to a new data centre, on the 10th August and we did have issues sending emails to some addresses, as they were not accepting them. The majority of messages are now sending successfully but we are still monitoring this.

I have sent 2 test messages to your recipient and he appears to have received both of them.

Once you send your next message, I would say to leave it for a decent amount of time, for the email to be generated and sent  - it can take a few hours, for messages with a lot of recipients and then to check if they has received it.

If not, please let us know, so we can investigate this further.

Apologies to your members, for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Nick Houghton
Web Developer & System Support

My messages delivered log, shows all messages are being delivered ! I hope it has been fixed.

NEXT:  Due to a lot of intel provided by members of the public, relating to a property in Dedworth involved in crime and anti-social behaviour; PCSO Tara Harris and her Sergeant Phil Collings, attended Reading Magistrates Court on Thursday the 22nd of August and gained a ‘Closure Order’ for the property.  The resident and those attending the property may not visit the property for three months.  The Housing Association are also investigating and will be taking matters further.
