Appeal for witnesses following assault in Banbury

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Banbury.

At around 11.30pm on Saturday (2/4), a man attempted to rob a boy’s mobile phone, grabbing his wrist. The boy managed to push the suspect away before running away.

The offence took place near to the Londis Grocery Store on Causeway, Banbury.

The offender is described as being a white eastern European man, in his late thirties to early forties. He was wearing a dark wind-breaker coat, dark jogging bottoms and trainers.

We are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have information about this incident, to please come forward.

If you have any CCTV footage or any dash-cam footage if you were in the area around the time, we’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
