Section 60 Order Authorised covering Lakes Estate

Alert message sent 10/03/2022 17:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

A Section 60 order, covering the Lakes Estate from the A4146 Stoke Road to Drayton Road, has been authorised until 2.30pm tomorrow (11/3) following a number of violent incidents in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

This order has been put in place following incidents over the past two days involving male suspects who were believed to be carrying weapons.
Investigations into these incidents are underway and the extra powers given to officers by this order will allow them to carry out stop and search checks on anyone believed to be in possession of a weapon.

You will see extra officers on patrol, so if you have any concerns or questions, please speak to them.

A weapons amnesty had already been planned to take place at the Safety Centre in Kiln Farm this Saturday from 11am-3pm as part of Thames Valley Police’s ongoing work to combat violence in the area.

This will allow people to hand in any weapons which they believe could be illegal or dangerous. For more details on this, click on the following link: Weapons amnesty to take place in Milton Keynes | Thames Valley Police.
