Alert message sent 26/01/2022 11:46:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Burglary - Appeal for witnesses-

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary of a house on Priestwood Avenue.

Between 4.45pm and 8.00pm on Tuesday 25 January unknown offenders gained entry into an unoccupied mid terrace house, disconnecting or breaking a security light and forcing the front door lock.

Once inside the offenders made an untidy search of cupboards in a front first floor bedroom, locating and stealing cash and valuables.

It is likely that the offenders had arrived by car.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have noticed suspicious individuals or vehicles during the relevant time or witnessed the incident or who feels they may have any information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43220036776.

If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact “Crimestoppers” anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111. It is an independent charity, no personal details will be asked for, calls are not recorded or traced and you would not have to go to court.

To reduce the risk of your home been targeted by opportunist burglars ensure it always appears occupied. If you are out during the evenings use time switches to turn lamps and even a radio on. Further crime prevention advice can be found on your local police website
