Alert message sent 09/09/2020 13:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a dangerous dog injured another dog near Stockham Park Farm in Wantage.

It happened at around 8pm on Saturday (5/9), when the victim, a man in his fifties, was walking two small dogs when they were attacked by a Rottweiler dog.

The owner of the Rottweiler was unable to keep the dog under control and let go of the lead, letting the dog approach the victim and his dogs. The victim was not injured, but one of his dogs was bitten by the Rottweiler causing puncture wounds.

The owner of the Rottweiler is described as a small petite woman.

Police are keen for anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone who recognises the description of the woman with a large Rottweiler dog or has any information to please get in touch.

You can make a report online or by calling 101 and quoting reference 43200282212.
You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
