Have your say on a Public Spaces Protection Order

Alert message sent 09/09/2020 13:20:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Buckinghamshire Council are currently carrying out consultations on Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) for Aylesbury Vale. This includes the PSPO that is currently in place for parks and open spaces in Aylesbury which expires in October 2020.

PSPOs provide us with legal powers to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a defined area and the current order makes it an offence to consume alcohol or to refuse to surrender alcohol when asked to a police officer or authorised officer in the specified parks and open spaces.
This includes Vale Park, Edinburgh and Walton Court Playing Fields and Bedgrove Park.
The order was amended in 2019 to include an additional prohibition on the use of vehicles in a way that has or may be capable of causing nuisance and/or annoyance in some of these areas.

This consultation is a chance for you to say whether you would like the PSPO to remain in place or not. You can also add any comments that you feel need to be considered by the council.

The consultation, along with further details about the PSPO, timings and areas included can be found at

The consultation closes on Monday 21 September.
