Appeal for witnesses following suspicious incident in Serpentine Court

Alert message sent 07/09/2020 09:31:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a suspicious incident in Bletchley.

At around 6.35pm on Wednesday (2/9) a man was seen to be sat on a child’s legs in Serpentine Court. The child was screaming “Help I don’t know this man.” When approached by a member of the public, the man said “This always happens at bed time.”

A member of the public in a Red Peugeot stopped and spoke to the man and then drove off.

Around 5 minutes later at 6.40pm, a silver Nissan Qashqai with a registration starting SB61 stopped. The man and the boy got into the back of the car and the car drove off. The boy did not seem to be distressed when getting into the car.

The man is described as a slim white man in his forties with dark brown and grey hair and a beard. He was wearing a teal coloured rain coat.
The boy is described a white boy, around 5-years-old with short brown hair. He was wearing a turquoise blue top.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen this incident, specifically the driver of the Red Peugeot car that stopped and spoke to the man, or who believes they know who the man or the driver of the silver Qashqai  is. Whilst it is unclear whether a crime has taken place, officers would like to ensure that the child is safe and well.
