Alert message sent 02/07/2020 15:44:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary on Dukes Ride, Crowthorne.
Between around 11.00am and 6.00pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020 offenders gained entry to a house on Dukes Ride. Access appears to have been gained via the rear garden from where a ground floor window was smashed through which offenders climbed into the house.
Once inside the offenders commenced a search but appear to have fled very quickly as the security alarm sounded.
Investigating officer PC 6528 Clough said “ We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43200198384.
If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact “Crimestoppers” anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111. It is an independent charity, no personal details will be asked for, calls are not recorded or traced and you would not have to go to court.
Keep your home safe.
As well as ensuring doors and windows are secured whenever your home is left unoccupied, ensure that side gates are also closed and secured. Burglars love to find properties that they don’t actually have to break into, and can either walk into and readily reach or climb into.
