Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

This message is dated Wednesday 18th March 2020 for Ascot.
I was supposed to fly out to Orlando last week, to see my son - BUT - as you all know the travel ban was imposed, so I am still here and will visit him later in the year, when it is lifted !!!
I have received this update from RBWM Borough Council from Honor Ryan at Trading Standards to circulate:
Hi Jeff,

This is the link to the RBWM page that has been set up.
Kind regards

Honor Ryan

This happened in Eton Wick, but the advice is useful for everyone:
14/3 - 17/3  Eton Wick.  Catalytic converter stolen from under a Toyota Auris.  If you have a targeted type of car, there are cages and metal plates which can be fitted under your car to prevent the converter being stolen.  Due to the number being stolen, car dealerships sometimes have to wait several months to locate a replacement !!!
Something to be aware of - Scam and fraud telephone calls & emails will not stop coming at this time !  An elderly resident in Holyport has had repeated automatic calls from someone saying they are a roofing company, who maintained they had previously done some work for her, to make an appointment to come and view the property.

We cannot drop our guard, while concentrating on other things !!
15/3 - 16/3  Sunday 8 p.m. / Monday 3.10 p.m.  Whitmore Lane.  Car passenger window smashed.  Empty bag stolen.

Please consider using our online reporting system but please note this reporting tool is not for use where a crime happening right now, the suspect is still at the scene, or anyone seriously injured or in immediate danger.

The Windsor & Ascot NHW Association is making great strides in reactivating and expanding Neighbourhood Watch within the various parishes of Windsor & Ascot. Its Facebook page (@WindsorAscotNHW) has achieved a reach of over 24,000 people in the past month alone, and is receiving multiple enquiries from interested residents. In just the last few months ten new NHW schemes have been set up with active Coordinators, and residents within those scheme areas can now benefit from the new initiatives being introduced by Neighbourhood Watch and Thames Valley Police.
