Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a hate-related public order incident in Broughton.

At around 8.30am on Friday (13/3) a woman was walking with her guide dog along Fen Street.

When they got to the junction with Broughton Grounds Lane their path was blocked by a woman who started shouting. She told her that she should not be out with her dog as it has coronavirus.

The woman then kicked the dog causing it to yelp. The dog has since been seen by a vet and been discharged.

The offender is described as an Asian woman, around 5ft 6ins tall and wearing dark clothing. She spoke with an Asian accent and may have had a small child with her.

If you witnessed this incident or have any information that could help with our investigation please get in touch using our online form or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43200085156. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
