Appeal for witnesses following incident of sexual assault in Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of sexual assault which occurred in Reading. 

At around 9.15pm on Monday (9/3) the victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking along Oxford Road, when an offender who was stood on the pavement, grabbed her by her thigh over her clothing.
The victim hit out at the offender, before she walked off. 

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Maggie Bruce, from Force CID at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, which was a frightening experience for the victim who was in a public place.

“If anyone was in the area at the time, and believes they may have seen or heard something in relation to this, I would ask them to get in touch with police.
