Image released following assault in Bicester

Thames Valley Police is releasing an image of a man officers would like to speak to following an assault in Bicester.

At around 1.15pm on Saturday 29 February the victim, a 49-year-old man, was sat in his car at traffic lights in Oxford Road, opposite the Acorn pub, when an unknown man approached the car on a bicycle, opened the driver’s side door and grabbed the victims neck.

The offender cycled off in the direction of Bicester Village.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Investigating officer PC Jonathan Livingston based at Banbury police station said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man in this image as I believe that he has vital information about this incident.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
