CCTV released following assault with injury in Oxford

Between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Thursday 9 January the victim, a 21-year-old man, was approached by an unknown woman and two men as he was leaving The Baron Bar in Cowley Road with a group of friends.

An altercation took place and the victim was assaulted causing a serious injury to his eye.

The victim sustained serious injuries to his eye. He received treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital and as a result of the injury has lost vision in one eye. 

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emilie Tomann based at St Aldates police station said: “This was a violent assault that happened at a busy time on a Thursday night and has resulted in a serious injury.

“I am releasing these images as I believe the people pictured have vital information about this incident.

“If you recognise the people in these images, or it is you, then please get in touch using our online form or by calling 101, quoting reference number 432000116523.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
