Operations continue to reduce crime in Reading

From Sunday (5/1) until Wednesday (8/1), Thames Valley Police officers were out and about in Oxford Road as part of an initiative to tackle crime and mobilise community action in the Reading area.

Deputy LPA Commander, Chief Inspector Ashley Smith said: “We are pleased with the results of this operation, which is part of our long term strategy to reduce serious violence and to make our communities feel safer and to reassure them. Our officers will continue their patrols in Reading, so if you see them please do say hello and talk to them about any concerns you may have”.
