Appeal for witnesses following assault in Drayton

Between 11pm on Monday (23/12) and 2am on Tuesday (24/12) the victim, a 36-year-old man, was assaulted in the Red Lion Pub, Abingdon Road, Drayton.

The victim sustained injuries to his face but did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late twenties, around 6ft 1ins tall with a large beard. He was wearing a red hat.

Investigating officer PC Tara Webb based at Abingdon police station said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this assault or who has any information which could be relevant to our investigation.

“If you have any details which you think could help, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101 or report online, quoting reference number 43190402071.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
