Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan Strudwick and I am one of the local PCSO’s for Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale. I am covering Thames valley alert until Jeff comes back.

I do apologise for not sending an alert out sooner
.
As many of you are aware we are having burglaries and theft from cars in SOUTH ASCOT and SUNNINGHILL areas. It gets dark early and people can see if there are light on in your property and if you’re in or not? Do you leave your house in darkness when you go out? Do you have a light timer?

We have started to hand out letter to the most effect areas and some of you might have already received one. There are quite a few roads to do so we haven’t forgot about you.
On this letter is has basic advice regarding burglary prevention and the fact that we offer a free home security survey and other important information such as reporting any suspicious activity you see via 999 /101.

If are worried and do wish to have a home security survey please email homesecuritysurveyrequests@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

Part of my local team will get in contact / forward the email on to myself where we will make contact and arrange to come round.

At the same time we have had an opportunist who has been seen trying car door handles and taking whatever he can. Please make sure you have nothing in your car on show, a blanket coving your bag unfortunately doesn’t work, and that your car is locked and keys are away from the front door.

As I engage with members of the public who often talk about community groups on social media where people post and share videos / sus activity. These photos / videos rarely get back to us. Please encourage others to report these via 101.

If you see something which you think doesn’t add up / feels right please let us know.

Kind regards,

Ryan Strudwick
