Appeal for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Bracknell

Alert message sent 02/10/2019 11:01:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary on the Whitegrove estate, Warfield.

At 10.50pm on Thursday 26 September an alert  resident in Sage Walk responded to noises coming from the rear of a next door neighbours house where they saw 3 individuals who were attempting to open a rear door. They were challenged and one responded claiming to be police.
However all 3 then immediately made off.
A check of the neighbours property revealed that the side gate had been forced open with a bladed tool.
No vehicle ws heard so it thought the offenders had approached from some distance on foot.

Investigating officer P2309 Lawrance Furze is appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time or may have information including any CCTV or Dashcam recordings to call the Thames Valley Police 24-hour contact centre on 101, or by submitting an on-line report via the force website quoting crime reference 43190298825

If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact “Crimestoppers” anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111. It is an independent charity, no personal details will be asked for, calls are not recorded or traced and you would not have to go to court.
