MEMBERS’ COMMENTS:

FIRST: in from David:

Hi Jeff,

The scam calls/e-mails are still doing the rounds !

Had a call the other day, purporting to be from HMRC, advising a court order had been issued against me I  Unless I pressed key # 1, I’d be arrested !

Needless to say - I put the phone down.
I also received one of the e–mails, loaded with threats & demanding a bit coin ransom.  Both these are rather worrying for those who are not aware of such evil scams.

Needless to say both are untrue!!

Regards,

David

Many thanks David - I hope everyone is as sensible and just deletes them.

NEXT:  just in from Diane Purchase, the Chair of the Windsor Lions:

Windsor Lions, the leading local community services group, are in the throes of their final preparation, for their largest annual fund raiser, in the spectacular Windsor Great Park.

Entries are now closed, with over 800 riders, clamouring to saddle up on 7th and 8th September.  The exciting new course is under construction and riders will be able to experience the full beauty of the Deer Park.

Funds raised from the event will go to local charities and riding-based charities - also to fund much of the work carried out in the local community by Windsor Lions.

We are currently experiencing high calls for service on 101.

Please consider using our online reporting system but please note this reporting tool is not for use where a crime happening right now, the suspect is still at the scene, or anyone seriously injured or in immediate danger.
