Witness Appeal following Burglary in Cholsey

Alert message sent 12/07/2019 10:38:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Between 11.15am and 2.45pm on Wednesday (10/7), glass at the front of a house in Reading Road, Cholsey was smashed and offenders entered the house.

Distinctive German war medals were stolen from the house as well as alcohol, jewellery and credit cards.
The victim’s credit cards were used later that day between 2.45pm and 4.30pm in Tilehurst.

If you saw or heard anything you feel to be suspicious in the Cholsey area on Wednesday lunchtime please get in touch as your information may be vital to our investigation. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage from between 1pm and 1.30pm in the area on 10 July.

We also believe that a small silver car was seen in the area at the time so if you can help us with this line of enquiry then please get in touch.

You can contact us using our online form or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43190209835. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously online or by calling 0800 555 111.

For more information and to see pictures of some of the stolen medals, please read our press release
