Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of a man who is missing from Wallingford as the search continues.

Robert Ely, aged 67, was last seen at around 10.40am at the Nationwide in Wallingford on Tuesday (4/6).

We now know that Robert boarded a train heading towards London, and CCTV images from Paddington railway station are now being released showing him at Paddington at around midday on Tuesday.

He is pictured wearing a black Puma jacket with white stripes down each sleeve, dark framed glasses, a light-coloured shirt and dark tie.

He is also wearing dark trousers which were short in length, light-coloured socks and dark shoes.

Robert is seen on these CCTV images exiting Paddington Station onto Praed Street.

Investigating officer PC Steve Cardwell, based at Wantage police station, said: “We are releasing these images as we now know that Robert travelled by train to London on Tuesday.

“I am hoping that these images may jog someone’s memory from Tuesday and can help us in our investigation.

“Robert was not seen engaging with anybody on the CCTV footage.”

Officers are also appealing for information regarding an elderly man seen jogging bare-footed in Station Road, Cholsey, this morning (7/6) at around 6.30am.

PC Cardwell added: “We received reports this morning of a man matching Robert’s description jogging in Cholsey.

“We are keen to identify this man, and would ask anybody who knows who this man is to contact us.

“If you believe this man was you, please get in touch as we need to be certain that this was not Robert.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call the 24-hour contact centre on 101, quoting reference number 43190169296.
