Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

This message is dated Monday 8th April 2019 for Maidenhead.

Today is the first day of our ‘Spring Forward Burglary Campaign’.  For our new Home security booklet, put your curser over the image below and then press control and right click with your mouse.

We are promoting Video Doorbells and Fake TVs.

Fake TVs, go in a front facing upstairs room.  They are plug and leave.  They have 2 settings - Winter & Summer.  In the summer they stay on for 4 hours, in the winter 7 hours.  They also have a dusk to dawn sensor, built in.  They come on when it gets dark and a TV could be seen flickering outside - even if curtains are drawn - an goes off after those hours.

Video Doorbells - do you have one ?  Are you happy with it ?  Many of our members may not be very techy and think they will be difficult to instal and then to sort out, how you get the images sent to your mobile phone.  Would you mind writing me an email explaining how you dealt with these issues and how difficult it was to instal ??  I will then share that with everyone.
