Appeal for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bicester

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bicester.

At around 5.16pm on Thursday 7 February the victim, a 55-year-old woman was walking through Pingle Field when she was approached by two men on bikes.

One of the men tried to grab her bag, causing her to fall over. The offenders rode off towards Bicester.

Both offenders are described as men, around 5ft 4ins tall and of slim build.

They were both wearing black masks and one of the offenders was wearing a baseball cap.

Investigating officer, PC Tina Maulson, based at Bicester police station said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“If you have any information that could assist with the investigation please call the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference ‘43190040716’ or make a report online.”

“Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
