Alert message sent 13/09/2017 10:11:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Here is the latest neighbourhood policing update from PCSO Zack Earl.

Radley Lakes
We have had increase reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) around Radley Lakes. This includes littering and riding around on motorbikes. Littering could potentially harm the environment and the wildlife around the lake. Riding motorbikes around the lake is also very dangerous, they are putting members of the public who are out for a walk in potential danger. Please report any ASB using the police non-emergency number 101.

Back to School
As the schools are back this month I would just like to remind you to park considerately and safely and drop-off and pick-up times. Consider parking further way from the school and walking part of your journey – this disperses the cars and reduces the number in any one location to a safer level. Also please:
• Do not drive or park on the pavement as children are taught this is a safe place to be and blocking pavements makes it difficult for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
• Do not park within 10 metres of a junction so that motorists have safe
• Do not block pavements and driveways
• Manoeuvre/reverse careful
• Do not block residents drive or drop-kerbs
• Do not park where there are restrictions; single yellow lines with date/time restrictions, double yellow lines and especially school keep clear zig-zags.

If there is something you wish to report please phone 101. I understand most residents/parents are good and cause no trouble at all but there are a select few who cause a lot of disruption.

Have your say meeting
I am holding a ‘Have Your Say’ meeting outside Kennington Village centre on Thursday 28th September between 5pm - 6pm. Please come along to discuss any local issues.
