Just back from 2 weeks Annual Leave.  I understand Sgt Jemma Calver stood in while I was away.  My grateful thanks.

20/5  Saturday 12.15 p.m.  Ellington Park.  Possible burglary.  The owner was at home watching TV, when they heard heavy breathing and footsteps inside the kitchen.  He went to investigate and found a man walking into the kitchen.  The man was challenged on being disturbed, immediately made off.  The owner saw a second man outside keeping watch.  They ran through a garden gate where a third man was waiting.  They were apparently in the road delivering leaflets !!  During House to House enquiries, a neighbour remembers seeing 3 men getting into a dark BMW and driving off.
19/5  Friday 8 a.m. / 10.30 a.m.  The Wickets.  Thieves entered the garden then forced the frame of a rear window next to the door.  They then reached in and opened the door using THE KEY WHICH WAS LEFT IN THE DOOR.  Two TVs a laptop, a tablet and a freeview box stolen.
19/5  Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Lake View X 2.  1.  CAR LEFT UNLOCKED ON THE DRIVEWAY, ENTERED AND SEARCHED.  SAT NAV LEFT ON THE WINDSCREEN STOLEN. 2.  The owner of a car was awoken by the sound of their car door being opened.  They looked out of the window and saw a man trying to get in.  They shouted and banged on the window, disturbing the thief.  He immediately got on a bike and made off.  The owner was sure the car was locked, BUT THE CAR WAS ENTERED BY UNKNOWN MEANS WITH NO DAMAGE CAUSED.
22/5  Monday midnight / 7 a.m.  Camperdown. CAR LEFT UNLOCKED ON THE DRIVEWAY, ENTERED AND SEARCHED.  Cash and bank cards stolen.
19/5  Friday 3 p.m. / 7.15 p.m.  King Street.  Locked up bike in a bike rack stolen.  A black & red, Giant, mountain bike.
20/5  Saturday 3 p.m. / 9.20 p.m.  Station, Station Approach.  Locked up bike in a bike rack stolen.  A black & yellow, Scott Aspect 940 17 man’s, mountain bike.  WITH FRAME NUMBER !

21/5  Sunday 2.30 a.m.  Cordwallis Road.  Someone has kicked a wing mirror off of a car.

19/5  Friday 7.45 a.m.  Pub, Sutton Road, Cookham.  A car pulled up behind them at traffic lights, someone got out and hit is car window 3 times, smashing it.

19/5  Friday 1 a.m. / 2 a.m.  Mapledurham Walk.  Three lads reported walking suspiciously around the area.  The owner reported that they jumped over her fence, damaging the top of the fence, 2 garden ornaments and knocking over plant pots.  No attempt to break in to the house.  This may have been witnessed by neighbours.  The police were not called.
8/5 – 19/5  Green Leys.  The owner has had a continual problem with a group of lads banging on his doors and windows, then running away.  The door has now been damaged.
20/5  Saturday midnight / 9 a.m.  Allenby RoadCAR LEFT UNLOCKED ON THE DRIVEWAY, ENTERED AND SEARCHED.  An envelope containing cash stolen.
19/5  Friday 1 p.m.  Pinkney’s Road.  The owner had parked the van to make a delivery.  While she was parked, an elderly man came up to the van and tapped on the window smiling.  The driver wound down the window, to hear what he was saying.  He said that she had parked across his driveway.  She wound up the window and started to put on her seat belt, when he pulled open the door.  She tried to close the door, but he kept pulling it open.  Eventually she managed to close it and drive off, but was distressed by this.

21/5 – 22/5  Sunday 6 p.m. / Monday 7.30 a.m.  Palmers Close.  Car keyed.
19/5 – 20/5  Friday 11 p.m. / Saturday 6.30 p.m.  Boyn Valley Road.  Both windscreen wipers stolen.
