Neighbourhood Policing Update for April

Alert message sent 10/04/2017 15:23:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

A message from Sergeant Ryan James
A slightly different update this month following a slightly different month of Policing.
Clearly your Faringdon Neighbourhood Team have been very busy throughout March following the tragic events that happened in our town and the sad loss of a young life. My team were instrumental in the Police response then supported investigative actions and officer and community welfare thereafter for which I am very proud.
I am also extremely proud of the community resilience that then followed and send a heartfelt HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing people that passed kind comments on social media, the team of ladies that delivered bacon rolls in the morning, dinner in the evening to scene watch officers and the endless cups of tea that kept us all going!
May I also say the support from our colleagues at the Fire Station (across from the scene) and the Paramedics was hugely appreciated and their door was always open to all the Police Officers that worked on the incident – truly kind and hardworking people all coming together under extreme and traumatic circumstances.
