18/3  Saturday 4.45 p.m.  Galleys Road.  A witness saw two men approach the house opposite, which was having building work done, in a suspicious manner.  They walked up the drive, through a side gate and into the garden.  The witness immediately went across the road and alerted the house over that the men had just gone into her garden.  They went out and found the two men demanding that they left immediately.  They apologised and immediately made off in a white van.  They had filled a wheelbarrow with building materials.  As I keep saying, we have Opportunist Offenders walking / driving around simply looking for opportunities.  A window left open, gates left open with no car on the driveway, a skip on the driveway, or evidence of builders !  A house being renovated / extended may mean tools, copper piping fixtures and fittings – all worth cash.  If you are having work done, please have a word with your builder, to make sure everything is secure !
18/3  Saturday 3 p.m.  Vale Road.  A witness reported men removing copper wire from a derelict building.

17/3  Friday 9 p.m.  Coppermill Road, Wraysbury.  The aggrieved was in bed sleeping when 3 men wearing hoods entered her bedroom and asked where her gold jewellery was.  They ransacked the house and made off in a dark coloured car.  Breitling Navitimer & a Frederique Constant wristches and a silver Kirpan stolen.  This the second burglary in recent weeks where the property was targeted for gold jewellery.  Please make sure that at this time, if you have family gold jewellery, it is not kept on the property but secured properly somewhere else.  There is a problem now that a lot of banks no longer have safety deposit boxes, but some do still advertise this service.  When it comes to expensive watches, these must not be stored in their boxes with guarantees and purchase paperwork.  That makes them very easy to sell.  Someone walking into a shop without the box and paperwork, is automatically suspicious !
18/3  Saturday 5.30 p.m.  Welley Road, Wraysbury.  Someone has shot or catapulted something at a window causing a hole to form and the window to crack

OLD WINDSOR:

Hi Jeffrey,

Another one for your collection! I must be on someone’s “sucker” list. They must think I came up the Thames, on a banana boat!

Needless to say I will not be responding, but please feel free to circulate if you think it is appropriate to warn others.

Best Regards,

Bill
