Neighbourhood Policing Newsletter - March

Alert message sent 13/03/2017 12:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Here is the latest update from PCSO Sue Haynes.

Sutton Courtenay Police Office
The Police Office in the High Street, Sutton Courtenay has now closed. If you need to speak to a Neighbourhood Police Officer or Police Community Support Officer please call the police non-emergency phone number 101.  We will still be patrolling all three villages as normal and attending any events that we are invited to.
School parking
There has been reports that people dropping children off at the beginning and end of the school day are parking illegally and inconsiderately. Please be aware that you are putting your own and other children at risk when parking on corners, blocking dropped curbs and parking on the yellow zig zags outside schools. I will be paying attention to these areas and issuing tickets where appropriate.

A burglary has occurred at a property in the High Street, Drayton. This happened between 14th February - 3rd March 2017. Access was gained by smashing a window and some small items were taken. If you know anything about this incident then please make contact with us.

Memorial event
On Sunday 5th March the Neighbourhood team attended and memorial service at St. Peter’s Church, Drayton. This was for the 60th Anniversary for a Beverley aircraft which crashed in Sutton Wick Lane killing crew members, Police dogs and their handlers and two local residents. This was well attended by local residents and various associates from the Royal Air Force.

Crime prevention advice
I have recently been on a three day enhanced training course around crime prevention which has enabled me to both refresh my knowledge and learn new skills on carrying out detailed home surveys on residential properties. This training will enable us to provide detailed advice to victims of crime around keeping their property safe.
