Appeal for witnesses following attempted kidnap and robbery – Slough
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an attempted kidnap and robbery in Slough.
The incident happened Saturday 14 January at approximately 14.45pm on Farnham Road.
The victim was in a parked vehicle in a layby opposite Chicken Delight on Farnham Road when one man reached into the vehicle and took the keys from the ignition. The victim was forced into the front passenger seat as the offender attempted to drive off with the victim’s car.
The victim tried to escape the vehicle but was met by two additional men who assaulted and attempted to stab him.
A witness intervened and the three men ran off into a silver coloured car, which left the scene in the direction of Sheffield Road.  The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault and his car keys were stolen.
The first offender who entered the vehicle is over 6ft tall, of stocky build and in his mid-twenties. He was wearing a top with hood up and grey tracksuit bottoms.
The second offender in possession of the knife is mixed race, wearing a hooded top and dark grey bottoms.
Investigating officer, Det Con Helen Bentley, of Maidenhead CID, said, “I would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.”
“Anyone who recognises the description of the three men should get in touch via the Thames Valley enquiry centre on 101.”
If you do not want to speak to the police directly, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
