Information appeal following assault- Banbury

Were you out celebrating on Christmas Eve and saw the below assault in the early hours of Christmas Day?
 
The male victim, in his 40s, was walking along Middleton Road at approximately 2am on Christmas Day after enjoying a night out.  
 
A 3-door, red, Vauxhall Corsa pulled up and a man described as white, in his late 20s, 5ft4ins exited the vehicle and started to follow the victim on foot. The suspect was wearing a light blue hoody with the hood up and dark trousers. 
 
The victim was followed near to the Pepper Pot pub where he was head-butted once on the nose. This knocked him to the floor and left him dazed and with a significant cut to the nose.  
 
Investigating Officer, PC Dominic Watson from Banbury Police Station said: “This was an unprovoked assault which occurred on Christmas morning. The assault has left the victim feeling vulnerable and upset and we are keen to hear from anyone with information either about what happened, or who may have seen the car before or after the attack.”
