Appeal for witnesses following robbery – Slough
 
 
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery.
 
The incident took place at a property in Chalvey Road East, Slough on Thursday (15/12) at about 5pm.
 
The victim, an elderly woman, was at home and heard a knock on the door.
 
She opened the door to a man, who told her that there was something behind her.
 
When she turned to see what he was pointing at, he pushed her to the ground, stepped over her and went into her lounge.
 
He then stole two handbags from her and walked out of the house.
 
The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident and did not require hospital treatment.
 
The offender is white, aged between 50 and 60 and is about 5ft 7ins. He was wearing a navy blue woollen hat, a black anorak and dark trousers.
 
Investigating officer Det Con Kirstine Emmer, of Slough Local CID, said: “The victim in this incident is an elderly woman who could have been seriously injured by being pushed over.
 
“I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information relating to it.
 
“If anyone has any details which they think could help with our investigation, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101.”
