Airspace restrictions and security measures for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik state visit

Airspace restrictions and security measures for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik state visit – Windsor

Good afternoon,

We wish to remind you that airspace restrictions will be in place over Windsor for the Sultan of Oman's state visit next Tuesday.

These restrictions are a planned part of our security operation to help ensure the safety of everyone attending the event, along with the general public.

They will mean that aircraft, including drones, will not be permitted to fly in the restricted airspace area in and around Windsor between 7am and midnight on Tuesday 20 October.

We will be taking a strong stance in enforcing the restrictions; anyone who breaches them may be committing a criminal offence and is likely to be arrested.

The airspace restrictions are one of many security measures we have in place to ensure the safety of the state visit; some of which you will see and others you will not.

If you see any suspicious activity or anything that does not seem quite right call101 or speak to one of our officers.

Always call 999 in an emergency.
