Appeal to find wanted man

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public's help to trace a man who is wanted in connection with a number of offences in Didcot, including stalking, burglary and assault.

Kaine Simmonds, aged 25, is also wanted on suspicion of threats to kill, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and criminal damage.

The offences relate to an ongoing investigation into the stalking of a woman between June and September this year.

Simmonds is described as a black man, approximately 6ft 3ins tall, with a slim build. He has short black afro-style hair, brown eyes, a thin black moustache and a black goatee.

He is known to frequent the Reading, Didcot, Purley-on-Thames and Tilehurst areas.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Michael Hopcroft, from the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “Kaine Simmonds is wanted in connection with a number of serious offences, including stalking, burglary and assault, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to locate him.

“I am appealing directly to anyone who has seen Simmonds recently, or who has information about where he may be staying, to get in touch with us. Even information that may seem insignificant could help us locate him and bring him into custody.”
