On Your Bike!

Last week, both Mitsy and Beaver were busy supporting other members of the team, so it was time for a different patrol partner to step up!

Now, we all know one of PC Oldroyd's dislikes is running... but what many don't know is that his other dislike is cycling! 🚴😅

Despite this, he decided to go old school and dust off our trusty two-wheeled friend, the bike!

PC Oldroyd  completed 10 miles around our patch, speaking with residents, carrying out reassurance patrols, and reaching areas that Mitsy and Beaver simply can't access.

It was a great opportunity to engage with the community, check on local concerns, and maintain a visible presence across Wantage and Grove.

Don't worry though, before anyone asks, thankfully PC Oldroyd wasn't wearing cycling lycra. We felt it was best for community confidence, road safety, and protecting the general public from that particular sight! 😂🚴

Who knows, with a bit more practice, the bike might start making more regular appearances... once PC Oldroyd's legs have recovered!
