Motorbike Theft Prevention – Oxford

We are aware of an increase in the theft of motorbikes across the Oxford area.

While bike locks can act as a deterrent, they are not always effective, particularly where thinner chains can be easily cut. We strongly encourage owners to use robust, high-quality chains and locks that are resistant to cutting, and where possible, secure motorbikes within a locked garage or other secure location.

Neighbourhood Policing Teams are actively working to address this issue. We are progressing all viable lines of enquiry and, where suspects are identified, we will take positive action.
