CUCKOOING, KNOW THE SIGNS!

When criminals take over a vulnerable persons home and use it for crime that is called ‘CUCKOOING’

Signs include:

The occupant has not been seen for while

The occupant has distanced themselves from family and friends

Curtains and blinds may stay closed all day

An increase in bikes, mopeds and cars parked outside the property

Unfamiliar people entering and leaving the property, often at unsociable hours

Secure doors are wedged open

If you suspect a property is being cuckooed please report it!
