Hello Resident, We are appealing for information following a report of burglary in Springfield, Milton Keynes. The incident occurred Overnight on Tuesday 10th March 2026 in Stamford Avenue, Springfield, Milton Keynes, MK6 3LG. THE VICTIM HAS LEFT THIER GARAGE LOCKED AND SECURE IN THE EVENING OF 10TH MARCH 2026
AT 07:00HRS ON THE 11TH MARCH VICTIM HAS DISCOVERED THAT THEIR GARAGE HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO AS THEY HAVE FOUND THE GARGE DOOR WHICH IS AN UP AND OVER OPEN (NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTRY).
LYING OUTSIDE OF THE GARAGE WHERE A FEW OF HIS TOOL BOXES WHICH HAVE BEEN EMPTIED WITH MORE EXPENSIVE ITEMS STOLEN SUCH AS POWER TOOLS WITH THE LESSER VALUE ITEMS BEING LEFT.
ALSO STOLEN FROM WITHIN HIS GARAGE WAS A TREK MOUNTAIN BIKE. 🛡️ MAKE YOUR HOME A HARD TARGET Use accredited security products (Secured by Design). Mark valuables with forensic property marking. Keep valuables out of view from windows.
🚨 INCREASE THE CHANCES OF DETECTION Install a police‑approved intruder alarm system. Consider visible CCTV or a video doorbell.
🧳 WHEN YOU GO OUT Close and lock all windows and doors; follow a home security checklist. Use light timers to make your home look occupied.Don’t advertise being away on social media.
🧠 WHAT BURGLARS LOOK FOR Easy and unseen access routes like side and rear entries. Overgrown vegetation or open/insecure windows and doors.
